Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data and feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Build and enhance software for large-scale data and ML applications as part of a cross-functional team.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or leverage cloud architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, and monitoring practices.
- Manage code and govern models to reduce vulnerabilities and support responsible and explainable AI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray for AI or ML data preparation.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for containerized ML systems.
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes ML algorithm, configuration, and infrastructure optimization; software development best practices; resilient production deployments; ML techniques and architectures; production-ready ML data pipelines; and technical leadership.
- Authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept is preferred.
