Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work with engineers to start projects from scratch and enhance existing codebases.
- Build backend wiring, application logic, and user interfaces for educational products.
- Drive design, coding, documentation, testing, debugging, and tuning for the team’s development process.
- Provide accurate estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess platforms and technologies for implementations.
- Collaborate across development teams to design and release products.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Excellent programming skills in Java or another object-oriented language.
- Strong communication, analytical-reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for improving education through technology.
Benefits
- Full-time position requiring work in the IXL headquarters office in San Mateo, California.
- Base salary of $130,000 to $200,000 plus equity and benefits.
