Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead major Device Platform features end-to-end.
- Build and scale backend systems for device provisioning, OTA firmware rollout, device metrics, licensing, consistency, latency, and uptime.
- Lead operational improvements that increase system robustness, reduce pager noise, and improve incident learning.
- Shape shared technical direction with other engineering teams and support their roadmaps.
- Mentor and teach engineers through design reviews, code reviews, written communication, and direct guidance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building backend services with consistency, latency, and uptime guarantees at scale.
- Fluency in at least one server-side language, with Python or Go preferred; Ruby or JavaScript/Node.js are also welcomed.
- Ability to listen to engineering teams, shape shared technical direction, and ship reliable changes for other teams to build upon.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for FedRAMP compliance.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week.
