Base Salary
$209k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build payment platform capabilities such as orchestration, risk and fraud prevention, and multi-provider integrations.
- Develop a global bill payment product for small businesses.
- Build highly available, distributed, and high-throughput backend services using modern backend stacks and AWS.
- Contribute production code, proof-of-concepts, architectural decisions, API design, and technical deep dives.
- Collaborate with product, security, risk, and operations teams to deliver resilient engineering solutions.
- Mentor team members, share technical knowledge, and help foster an inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering highly available, distributed backend systems and high-throughput services under real-world constraints.
- Deep understanding of system architecture, API design, and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in one or more of C#, Java, Golang, or C++, alongside cloud-native platforms such as AWS.
- Hands-on experience contributing to production code, proof-of-concepts, and technical deep dives.
- Strong collaboration, mentoring, problem-solving, and agile execution skills.
