Base Salary
$117k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and platform APIs using Java and Python.
- Enhance Cosmos, Spanner, and Postgres platform capabilities across public and private clouds, including provisioning, tuning, upgrades, reliability, and operational support.
- Develop reusable automation for lifecycle management, configuration, monitoring, failover, backup and recovery, and capacity planning.
- Drive deployment safety, observability, incident triage, root cause analysis, remediation, and other DevOps and SRE practices.
- Use AI-assisted automation to reduce toil, accelerate troubleshooting, and improve engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with architects and partner teams on secure, reliable, cost-efficient platform solutions, documentation, and roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers and work with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus 2 years of software engineering or related experience, or 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Proven software engineering experience with strong technical acumen, object-oriented programming, and API design skills.
- Experience delivering scalable, maintainable, and highly available software solutions.
- Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex production issues.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, automation scripting, and telemetry implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is valued.
