Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Cloud Service Mesh features and components while taking ownership of assigned project work.
- Scope and solve technical problems across the team’s systems and clarify requirements proactively.
- Build systems and tools to automate installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting on customer clusters.
- Ensure a frictionless and resilient customer experience.
- Communicate and collaborate with technical leads, peers, and partner teams across Cloud Service Mesh and Google Cloud Platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, or 1 year of industry experience with an advanced degree.
- At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Experience developing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience with C++ or Go.
- Preferred: experience building networking components or products such as load balancers, firewalls, NAT, SDN, switches/routers, CDN, network protocols, or caching.
Benefits
- US base pay is listed as $147000–$210000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
