Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact Google One projects and lead the team’s architectural roadmap.
- Balance user conversion, experimentation, system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Align teams on goals, outcomes, timelines, systems, and engineering execution.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, including data structures and algorithms.
- At least 5 years of experience with software design and architecture and with testing and launching software products.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
