Responsibilities
- Translate business and customer requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable, performant, secure, and supportable software.
- Lead technical initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions, and influence product direction.
- Drive complex solution implementation, validation, testing, and documentation.
- Champion automated testing, continuous integration, quality standards, metrics, and engineering processes.
- Monitor and optimize automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines, reviewing build and deployment metrics to identify issues.
- Lead root cause analysis for production and customer issues and implement long-term improvements.
- Guide observability, monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and performance analysis in applications.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Customer Support, Professional Services, and other stakeholders on customer needs and product improvements.
- Mentor and coach engineers through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and best-practice guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building and supporting cloud-native applications and services.
- Deep expertise with CI/CD pipelines, automated build systems, and containerized application deployment.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience with quality engineering, test automation, and observability.
- Preferred experience in payments, fintech, transaction processing, or point-of-sale environments.
- Preferred experience building highly available, customer-facing software products.
- Preferred experience serving as a technical lead or architect for enterprise-scale applications.
- Experience with one or more of Golang, C#, Java, JavaScript, React, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, GitHub, and Jira.
