Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a container-based infrastructure that is scalable and compliant.
- Participate in an Agile development team to automate deployment and infrastructure management in AWS.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and implement effective solutions to technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines securely and reproducibly.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis as needed.
- Ensure applications are built with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
- Maintain high levels of systems and infrastructure availability proactively.
- Explore new technologies and best practices to foster a collaborative learning culture.
- Develop custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Maintain security program controls and best practices.
- Ensure continuous compliance with health regulatory frameworks.
- Make informed decisions regarding technical tradeoffs and resource utilization.
- Participate in on-call PagerDuty rotations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering.
- BS or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Extensive experience in containerized Cloud Native environments, particularly AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Experience with modern monitoring tools and establishing metrics and dashboards.
- Familiarity with change management practices and policies.
- Experience deploying and monitoring applications in AWS at scale.
- Security-first mindset with experience in secure development environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and SRE concepts.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation, systems reliability, and monitoring.
- Experience with FinOps practices and governance programs.
- Proficiency in automating CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions.
- Experience in regulated environments with data privacy regulations.
- Experience managing SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell.
