Base Salary

$130k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build medium-complexity, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Write clear, well-structured technical design documents.
  • Develop modular, reusable, testable code and ensure adherence to testing standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback in code reviews.
  • Take ownership of technical debt and propose priorities.
  • Participate in product discovery to assess feasibility and validate ideas.
  • Ensure clean integration and communication across systems.
  • Implement basic observability for developed systems.
  • Break down projects into actionable tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Analyze performance metrics and user feedback for improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Share knowledge and suggest improvements within the squad.
  • Contribute to the hiring process and coach new hires.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years as a software engineer with production code experience.
  • Experience with back-end distributed systems and services.
  • Familiarity with microservice architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building scalable web applications and services in the cloud.
  • Working experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking about trade-offs.
  • Experience with agile software development and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and adapt to ambiguity.
