Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and highly available services with a distributed engineering team.
  • Build backend applications and frontend tools for Messaging Supply products, including supplier interfaces, automation, and internal and customer-facing features.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, engineering managers, and engineers to create user experiences for developers and end users.
  • Write unit, integration, and load tests, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot issues within the team’s domain.
  • Support seamless integration and customer experiences across Twilio applications.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and engineering best practices, including testing and DevOps standards.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, web stack, and framework.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Dropwizard.
  • Preferred experience with React or another web development framework.
  • Preferred understanding of DevOps CI/CD pipelines and experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience documenting technical solutions and proposals is preferred.
