Software Engineer II - Data Platform

- Build scalable and reliable data systems and business-critical pipelines while maintaining SLOs.
- Partner with Product, Sales Ops, Finance, and other internal teams to deliver data solutions.
- Support self-service tooling and promote a data-driven culture.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and operations of the data platform.
- Design resilient, fault-tolerant, and idempotent systems that support failure handling and reprocessing.
- Implement testing, validation, observability, documentation, and other engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience building production services and features, ideally including data engineering.
- Proficiency building maintainable components in Python and/or Go.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases such as MySQL and Postgres, and data warehouses such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Experience with Docker or OCI containerization, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with modern data tools including Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Looker.
- Understanding of distributed data systems, large-scale data processing, high-throughput and low-latency trade-offs, system design, and pipeline reliability.
- Experience with Git workflows, code review, unit and integration testing, automated validation, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Experience building data pipelines for AI and machine learning is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
