Base Salary
$165k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior and principal engineers to design and deliver the team’s software roadmap.
- Design technical architectures and present designs to software engineers and managers.
- Implement complex software using backend and frontend languages and frameworks.
- Integrate AWS products including DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, and SNS.
- Use technical design patterns, GraphQL, REST APIs, and message queues.
- Communicate technical ideas through written documentation, diagrams, and code.
- Maintain operational excellence and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience writing software and deploying it to production environments.
- Proficiency in at least one typed language and one untyped language, such as Java, C, Python, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with object-oriented design and strong knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, and common data structures.
- Demonstrated success delivering software projects from inception through launch.
- Experience with distributed backend systems and cloud-based environments such as AWS.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Ability to write efficient code, solve complex technical problems, communicate effectively, and build positive team relationships.
- Preferred experience includes manufacturing, aerospace or defense, HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks such as React, microservices, CI/CD strategies, and relational or non-relational database design and implementation.
