Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Stripe's frontend package manager and build toolchain.
- Lay the groundwork for AI-native frontend development.
- Drive consistency and best practices across Stripe's JS codebases through tooling.
- Own SLOs for build performance, install speed, and developer tooling reliability.
- Debug and resolve developer-facing incidents during on-call support.
- Partner with frontend product and platform teams to improve the core edit/build/test loop.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software development experience with a strong foundation in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with the modern frontend ecosystem and complex web applications.
- Deep systems thinking, considering edge cases and failure modes in solutions.
- Motivated to improve the experience of engineers and measure success by their productivity.
- Comfortable working autonomously on ambiguous problems.
- Strong written communication skills for sharing context across a distributed team.
