Base Salary
$192k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set full-stack architectural direction across web applications, backend services, CMS platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Build proof-of-concepts and lead promising solutions into reliable production systems.
- Identify and resolve systemic platform bottlenecks affecting performance, reliability, and delivery.
- Develop reusable modules, internal tools, and reference implementations for multiple engineering teams.
- Collaborate with international engineering and cross-functional teams across time zones.
- Coach engineers and technical leads through pairing, design reviews, and practical training.
- Establish engineering standards for maintainability, testing, accessibility, security, privacy, and operational reliability.
- Lead AI workflows for investigation, prototyping, coding, and production engineering while defining controls and verification practices.
- Shape technical priorities by explaining architectural risks, costs, dependencies, and expected business benefits to leaders.
Requirements
- Experience designing and evolving systems used by multiple teams, with strong knowledge of service boundaries, distributed systems, data flow, caching, and failure handling.
- Deep JavaScript and TypeScript expertise with strong experience in React and Next.js.
- Hands-on experience building secure APIs, integrating services, and managing asynchronous processing with Node.js and backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, DOM and Web APIs, responsive layouts, browser behavior, and web performance.
- Experience with headless CMS architecture, content modeling, and CMS or DAM integrations, including familiarity with Contentful, Contentstack, or WordPress.
- Expertise with AWS, deployment tooling, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
- Strong understanding of accessible UI patterns, assistive technology testing, and production testing, performance, and reliability diagnosis.
- Extensive hands-on experience with coding agents, LLM APIs, and automated engineering workflows, including model selection, context management, agent controls, and output verification.
- Ability to communicate technical recommendations, trade-offs, costs, and timelines to senior leaders and C-suite audiences and produce useful documentation.
