Base Salary
$160k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own firmware bring-up and integration for new embedded platforms, including ARM Cortex-M series platforms.
- Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware and RTOS-based applications for robotic subsystems.
- Write, maintain, and document C/C++ code for embedded targets.
- Implement firmware for motor control, sensor integration, telemetry, communications, power systems, and safety-critical functionality.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering teams on hardware bring-up, schematic review, and system integration.
- Lead system bring-up, validation, and debugging.
- Contribute to firmware safety, reliability, and system-level robustness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on embedded systems development experience.
- Deep expertise in bare-metal programming on ARM microcontrollers.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded targets and firmware design patterns.
- Experience with hardware bring-up and low-level debugging on custom boards.
- Understanding of digital electronics, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and embedded peripherals.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership across the full development cycle.
- Preferred experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or Embedded Linux on constrained systems.
- Preferred familiarity with motor control, power systems, or battery management in robotics or automotive contexts.
- Preferred experience reading schematics, performing board-level debugging, and working closely with hardware teams.
- Preferred familiarity with safety-critical systems, watchdogs, and fault handling.
