Base Salary
$160k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own firmware bring-up and integration for new embedded platforms, including ARM Cortex-M-based systems.
- Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware and RTOS-based applications for robotic subsystems.
- Implement firmware for motor control, sensors, telemetry, communications, power management, and safety-critical functionality.
- Write, maintain, and document robust C/C++ code for embedded targets.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on hardware bring-up, schematic review, and system integration.
- Lead system bring-up, validation, and debugging while contributing to firmware safety, reliability, and system-level robustness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on embedded systems development experience.
- Deep expertise in bare-metal programming on ARM microcontrollers and strong C/C++ proficiency for embedded targets.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, custom boards, schematics, and low-level debugging.
- Understanding of digital electronics, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and embedded peripherals.
- Preferred experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or Embedded Linux on constrained systems.
- Preferred familiarity with motor control, power systems, battery management, safety-critical systems, watchdogs, and fault handling.
- Ability to work independently, exercise discretion and judgment, and take ownership across the full development cycle.
