Base Salary
$133k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build the holistic look, feel, and interaction flow for user-facing Spectacles software.
- Maintain a consistent user experience across the Snap OS software platform.
- Create spatial experiences through human-centered, multimodal interaction and UI systems.
- Plan and execute complex user-facing AR applications and drive architectural and technical decisions from concept through delivery.
- Integrate AR applications with system-level features, native services, and platform APIs.
- Build performant real-time 3D applications optimized for resource-constrained AR hardware.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Product, and Program Management teams on AR application roadmaps and use cases.
- Mentor and develop other AR Engineers and elevate team technical capabilities.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building real-time 3D interactive applications with a 3D engine or framework.
- Strong 3D mathematics, software engineering fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms knowledge.
- Track record of technical leadership for complex user-facing spatial applications from concept through delivery.
- Experience integrating with native or operating-system services, system-level features, and platform APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to build performant real-time applications on resource-constrained devices.
- Experience making architectural decisions and driving complex technical projects.
- Preferred experience defining technical roadmaps and cross-functional alignment.
- Preferred experience partnering with platform, infrastructure, or systems teams to influence API and service design.
- Preferred understanding of modern UI frameworks, real-time applications interfacing with external services, shaders, and technical art.
- Preferred experience using AI in engineering workflows with sound judgment.
