Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of large-scale production Kubernetes environments without disrupting thousands of services.
- Build and evolve Kubernetes platform components, including architecture, Karpenter configurations, addons, networking, and autoscaling.
- Platformize reusable infrastructure capabilities for consumption by other infrastructure teams.
- Develop LLM-powered tools and integrate AI-assisted workflows for investigation, planning, debugging, coding, and design.
- Own ambiguous infrastructure tasks end to end and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Operate Wix’s multi-data-center EKS fleet, including reliability, scale, upgrades, autoscaling, and networking.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing infrastructure and operating production systems at large scale.
- At least 2 years of production Kubernetes experience, preferably with EKS, including debugging, upgrades, autoscaling, networking, and control-plane components.
- At least 2 years of experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS, including compute, networking, and IAM.
- At least 2 years of Infrastructure-as-Code experience writing and maintaining reusable modules with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Familiarity with observability at scale, including Prometheus, Grafana, and alert design.
- Experience building internal tooling in Go or Python.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
- Experience with production cluster autoscaling, fleet-scale cost or capacity optimization, Linux internals, node-level debugging, or leading projects end to end is advantageous.
