Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and debug complex, scalable distributed systems.
- Find solutions to optimize bottlenecks and general system-wide performance.
- Keep the tech stack updated with current standards.
- Write extensible, scalable, and test-driven code, taking ownership of projects.
- Collaborate on designing scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical spec reviews, and architectural decision-making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building highly performant web applications.
- Experience collaborating with Product & Design on end-to-end product experiences.
- Proficient in working with relational databases and key-value stores.
- Experience analyzing and optimizing web application performance.
- Familiarity with large scale Ruby on Rails or Go projects.
- Basic knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Experience building data visualizations and modernizing legacy systems.
- Bonus: Experience with integrating APIs and AI.
