Base Salary
$200k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own vertical web applications from idea through production operation.
- Partner with product owners to define problems, design architectures, build applications, and ship them.
- Architect reusable backend services using Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Build frontend experiences with React, TypeScript, and Ant Design System connected to REST and Thrift APIs.
- Deliver continuously with observability, resilience, and reliability built into applications.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and incorporate AI/LLM capabilities into vertical applications.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical initiatives, and clarify complex decisions for technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a history of owning and operating built systems.
- Deep proficiency in at least two of Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Solid React and TypeScript skills.
- Experience building and operating scalable, distributed, high-performance systems.
- Comfort working in multi-tenant and compliant environments.
- Practical experience with continuous delivery, test-driven development, Agile, and shift-left practices.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, or similar.
- Strong communication, architecture, consensus-building, mentoring, and technical leadership abilities.
- MarTech or AdTech experience, including DSPs, bid stream processing, or data-intensive platforms, is a plus.
- Domain knowledge in healthcare, political, or retail verticals is a plus.
