Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test suites covering ALSO’s digital systems from e-commerce purchase and account creation through cloud-connected vehicle functionality.
- Create automation frameworks for web UI, APIs, and cloud integrations.
- Design and execute end-to-end validation with web, cloud, and firmware teams to verify data flow between the vehicle, cloud, and user interfaces.
- Build dashboards and analytics for vehicle telemetry and OTA update metrics.
- Identify, reproduce, triage, and resolve bugs while contributing to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to CI/CD testing pipelines for rapid feedback on web and cloud releases.
- Manage SIL and HIL test environments and support software/hardware integration with the cloud backend.
- Define quality metrics and build automated reports to communicate system stability.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software validation and hands-on programming, including embedded software or firmware development.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and cloud-based systems with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Postman.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language for automation and data validation.
- Familiarity with AWS or an equivalent cloud ecosystem.
- Experience designing end-to-end tests spanning multiple systems and codebases.
- Preferred exposure to data validation and IoT testing, including OTA stress tests, data upload validation, and downstream integrity checks.
- Experience with CI/CD automation workflows such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with UDS or XCP protocols.
- Expertise with protocols and physical layers including CAN, CAN-FD, and USB-PD.
- Familiarity with real-time operating system platforms, preferably in functional-safety-critical applications.
- Familiarity with hardware/software architecture selection and OS or MCU tradeoffs.
- Ability to collaborate across firmware, cloud, web, hardware, and software disciplines.
