Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable backend and full-stack product features.
- Build and maintain Java and Node.js microservices and APIs with strong performance, reliability, and security.
- Integrate LLM-based features, RAG pipelines, AI assistants, and agent-based workflows into production systems.
- Own features from concept through implementation, rollout, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Apply prompt engineering, AI evaluation, guardrails, and performance optimization practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and improve system scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, UX, and domain experts on customer-facing solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of backend development experience with Java 11/17, Spring Boot, microservices, scalable distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
- At least 6 years of experience with Angular, Node.js, and full-stack product development.
- At least 3 years of experience integrating AI capabilities into production systems using OpenAI or Azure OpenAI APIs.
- Experience with prompt engineering, AI assistants, agent workflows, tool calling, memory patterns, RAG pipelines, embeddings, retrieval orchestration, and AI evaluation.
- Experience building and scaling AI-enabled platforms and services in production environments.
- At least 6 years of experience delivering end-to-end product features with CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, vector databases, Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Responsible AI practices, A/B testing, feature flags, and shared AI services.
- Strong collaboration, technical decision-making, system design, and engineering mentorship capabilities.
