Responsibilities
- Write, build, and deploy complex software in accordance with development standards.
- Mentor and coach engineers while providing technical guidance and supporting team development.
- Analyze application requirements and create step-by-step technical implementation strategies.
- Investigate and resolve bugs across Energy division codebases and maintain legacy applications.
- Design and implement optimized solutions using AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Provide regular and off-hours operational support, including weekend coverage.
- Develop responsible AI-augmented engineering practices using tools such as Claude.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience mentoring or technically leading other engineers.
- Advanced proficiency with C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
- Experience managing AWS assets, preferably with Terraform and/or YAML pipelines.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, specifically Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Familiarity with Redis or similar caching or in-memory data stores.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
