Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy across multiple teams and domains for global eCommerce platforms.
- Design scalable and resilient architectures spanning customer-facing experiences and backend operations.
- Own critical technical decisions and deliver high-quality solutions pragmatically and on time.
- Champion cloud-native development, microservices, APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, cybersecurity, and other engineering best practices.
- Mentor and grow senior engineers while fostering knowledge sharing, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
- Align engineering direction with product, business, and organizational goals.
- Represent engineering in discussions with external partners and vendors.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineers in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React or equivalent, and an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; infrastructure as code; microservices; API design; CI/CD; observability tools; and automated testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence peers and leadership.
- A growth mindset and passion for innovation and learning.
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent written and verbal English.
