Responsibilities
- Participate in a bi-weekly production on-call rotation, monitor environments, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve internal tooling and workflows.
- Build and maintain Datadog monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and observability.
- Partner with software engineering teams to improve operational readiness before releases.
- Participate in production deployments and change management activities.
- Identify and remediate infrastructure-related vulnerabilities.
- Maintain operational documentation, standards, and runbooks.
- Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, security, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS applications in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, ECS, and S3.
- Experience managing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
- Strong experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
- Experience participating in production on-call rotations.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Preferred: experience in high-growth B2B SaaS companies, SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, automation and internal tooling, operational excellence, multi-region AWS environments, and AWS cost optimization.
