Responsibilities
- Build and maintain secure microservice applications and APIs on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Develop and integrate LLM-based features, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and tool or function calling.
- Apply secure coding practices across APIs, identity, secrets, and vulnerability remediation.
- Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests and contribute to deployment pipelines and monitoring.
- Own work from requirements through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams and apply feedback through code review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of related experience, master’s degree plus 4 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production code in Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- At least 1 year of experience developing microservices, APIs, or cloud-based applications on a public cloud platform such as AWS.
- Hands-on experience developing or deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience building applications with generative AI or large language models, including retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or tool and function calling.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Preferred experience includes AI-powered applications or agents, vector databases, RAG pipelines, LLM APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Model Context Protocol, AI security, guardrails, responsible AI, or AI governance.
