Responsibilities
- Own internal products from problem discovery and prototyping through launch, iteration, and impact measurement.
- Work directly with operators and non-technical stakeholders to understand domain problems and translate them into software.
- Build across the data model, backend logic, and user interface using the technologies required by each problem.
- Extend Anduril’s unified data model and contribute improvements when product development reveals gaps.
- Make product decisions about scope, priorities, quality thresholds, and when to discontinue ideas.
- Raise the effectiveness of the Analytics team by demonstrating how data models can become operational products.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building software or data products as a Product Engineer, Software Engineer, Data or Analytics Engineer, or technical consultant with a strong engineering background.
- A demonstrated history of shipping 0-to-1 products that people used.
- Strong product judgment, including problem identification, prioritization, and scope, speed, and quality trade-offs.
- Strong data modeling fundamentals, including designing generalizable entities and relationships and explaining trade-offs.
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to learn new languages and frameworks.
- Comfort working directly with users and non-technical stakeholders and communicating clearly.
- Experience handling sensitive data and following security protocols.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include React and TypeScript, internal tools development, optimization or operations research, applied ML or LLM-powered applications, Palantir Foundry, relevant manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or defense operations knowledge, early-stage startup experience, and a portfolio, GitHub, or side project demonstrating independent learning.
