Responsibilities
- Expand test automation framework capabilities for Charles River products and services.
- Create pipelines for automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Maintain automated and manual test script libraries and testing labs.
- Plan and execute central automated regression runs and support product staging and certification.
- Develop and support software infrastructure for automated product validation across web, native/desktop, API, and batch applications.
- Interpret automation results, document defects, and communicate issues to development and project teams.
- Identify QA process improvements, research new automation approaches, and evaluate artificial intelligence for testing.
- Participate in Scrum activities, release testathons, and testing schedules.
- Guide and mentor junior staff in automated test script development and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, another technical field, or Business with an MIS background; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience building enterprise test automation frameworks in a process-driven technology environment.
- Experience programming with Java, SQL, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience implementing automation frameworks with tools such as Rest Assured, Playwright, Azure SDK, Kafka SDK, Cosmos DB, Swagger, Silk4Net, FlaUI, and Talend.
- Experience creating and executing automation scripts against web, native/desktop, API, and batch applications.
- Experience creating and updating on-demand test pipelines and using tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo CD.
- Experience verifying requirements on multi-tier applications using test cases, scripts, and automated test tools.
- Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical test plans.
- At least 3 years of experience working with an Agile development methodology is strongly desired.
- Financial services industry experience and knowledge of one or more Charles River functional areas are preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
