Responsibilities
- Develop cross-node federated analysis workflow infrastructure with European Open Science Cloud project partners.
- Contribute to the evolution and operation of the CERN Node of the EOSC Federation.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and operate services on a Kubernetes cloud.
- Support researchers with cross-node computational data-analysis examples.
- Participate in the operation and development of the REANA reproducible data-analysis platform.
- Work collaboratively in open-source projects and provide support for scientific use cases.
Requirements
- Have experience in full-stack software development and frontend and backend engineering technologies.
- Have experience with container technologies, application deployment, monitoring, and security.
- Have experience or skills with React, Python, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Have no more than two years of professional experience since graduation in computer science, an equivalent, or a related field.
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree; applicants without a university degree or with a PhD are not eligible.
- Be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and have never held a CERN fellow or graduate contract.
- Have strong problem-solving and communication skills, spoken and written English, and a commitment to learn French.
- Familiarity with computational research data analysis and European Commission co-funded projects is preferred.
