Responsibilities
- Build and deliver Oracle database environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using Avaloq Environment Modeling and Terraform-based infrastructure as code.
- Provision, install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and validate Oracle databases across development, test, and production environments.
- Configure storage, backup and recovery, high availability, monitoring, alerting, and integrations with platform, middleware, and application components.
- Validate environments against operational, security, compliance, performance, and readiness requirements before go-live.
- Prepare handover documentation and support transition, go-live, and stabilization activities with Run/Operations teams.
- Execute project delivery tasks, track progress, estimate effort, report status, and resolve technical blockers and dependencies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other cloud platforms and with installing and configuring Oracle databases on Linux/Unix.
- Experience with RMAN backup and recovery and Data Guard high availability solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Git for infrastructure automation.
- Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, collaboration, communication, and delivery skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple activities.
- Very good English skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
