Responsibilities
- Design and ship reliable multi-agent systems for production use.
- Build agents grounded in ServiceNow’s CMDB, Workflow Data Fabric, and Knowledge Graph.
- Develop guardrails, observability, human-in-the-loop controls, and compliance infrastructure.
- Build retrieval and grounding capabilities including RAG pipelines, hybrid search, re-ranking, and evaluation.
- Integrate and evaluate Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI models for production use cases.
- Own architecture, design reviews, technical standards, and mentoring for production AI engineering.
- Design scalable architectures for deployment across hyperscalers and ServiceNow infrastructure.
- Apply emerging model capabilities to real-world customer problems on short timelines.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience designing, shipping, and operating production agentic systems with multi-agent orchestration, tool calling, planning loops, memory, and failure recovery.
- Production-grade Python experience.
- Experience with Go, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Experience with Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI AI SDKs, including prompt engineering, structured outputs, and production model evaluation.
- Familiarity with production RAG and retrieval patterns, vector stores, hybrid search, and retrieval evaluation metrics.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through architecture ownership, code quality improvement, and mentoring.
- Deeper specialization in search and retrieval at scale or MLOps/model observability is preferred.
- Published work or open-source contributions in agentic systems or retrieval are preferred.
- Production exposure to LLM fine-tuning or inference optimization is preferred.
