Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement complex Java applications and systems as part of software development teams.
  • Analyze, design, and continuously optimize software solutions in collaboration with product management.
  • Contribute across the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Support customers and integration teams with new requirements, incidents, and service requests.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure stable and high-performance software integration.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and AI-based code reviews.
  • Apply modern development tools and methods for structured project implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field.
  • At least five years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large Java applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Groovy, and common Java frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with relational database systems and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Knowledge of Apache PDFBox and Eclipse RCP/OSGi is preferred.
  • Routine use of AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code and AI-based code reviews.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer- and product-oriented mindset.
  • Independent, solution-oriented working style and a high level of ownership.
  • Very good German and English skills at least at C1 level.
