Responsibilities
- Lead the DevOps team in designing and deploying software development pipelines.
- Drive architecture and design decisions and collaborate with 10 other engineers across unclassified and classified environments.
- Integrate disparate systems for customer end systems in air-gapped environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes clusters, configuration management, automation, and software applications.
- Manage development tools and secure communication, encryption, and certificate exchange authentication processes in classified environments.
- Maintain Linux infrastructure, servers, virtualization, containerization, and software development pipelines.
- Create tools that improve automation, reliability, and continuous pipeline improvement.
- Document and maintain system security operations and maintenance activities.
- Travel less than 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with nine years of relevant experience, a graduate degree with at least seven years of relevant experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Salt, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Experience developing software pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Artifactory.
- Experience with application containerization and on-premises Kubernetes integration.
- Primarily Linux development and infrastructure experience.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash, Groovy, and Make.
- Experience with CMake and C++ development.
- Experience with RHEL 7/8/9, Ubuntu, or Debian environments.
- Experience with security implementations including SELinux, FAPolicyd, and security scans.
- Experience developing, implementing, and integrating REST APIs.
- Knowledge of network firewalls, routing, subnetting, and port mappings.
- Experience with software development and quality assurance processes, object-oriented development in memory-safe languages, and language-agnostic software engineering.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer certification and security certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are preferred.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
