Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and microservices.
- Write scalable, efficient, and maintainable code across requirements, design, build, test, and deployment phases.
- Design APIs, data flows, and system integrations using engineering best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, business analysts, and other engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and efforts to promote coding standards.
- Debug complex technical issues, provide L2/L3 production support, and optimize application performance and reliability.
- Implement unit, integration, and automation testing and maintain technical documentation.
- Apply secure coding practices and comply with regulatory standards.
- Own modules and features end to end, mentor junior developers, and guide technical best practices.
- Recommend improvements to architecture, tools, and processes and contribute to engineering innovation.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Core Java, including Java 8 or later.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring Framework, including REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and concurrency.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab pipelines.
- Ability to design scalable applications, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and influence technical decisions within and across teams.
