Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a stable, reliable, secure, scalable, and high-performing platform.
- Manage underlying hardware, software, storage resources, and multiple production and non-production environments.
- Optimize the platform, identify system bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement permanent solutions.
- Automate platform maintenance tasks, existing processes, and workflows while improving developer productivity and code promotion.
- Support development and production operations teams, troubleshoot platform issues, and enhance the Trading Risk Warehouse ecosystem.
- Provide technical leadership, promote best practices, and ensure timely delivery of quality solutions.
- Explore new technologies and capabilities to drive platform transformation and innovation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience managing and supporting large-scale, mission-critical platforms.
- At least 8 years of Linux system administration experience.
- Strong experience managing Hadoop platforms, including HDFS, Spark, and Hive.
- Experience with large-scale platform migration initiatives and highly scalable, low-latency systems.
- Proficiency in Unix shell scripting, Python or another programming language, networking, Linux administration, and SQL.
- At least 6 years of experience managing Git, CI/CD toolsets including Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience managing web and service/API platforms, messaging technologies such as Kafka, RDBMS, and non-relational databases such as Cassandra.
- Experience implementing and managing system monitoring tools and large-scale web and ETL platforms.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
- Experience working with global teams and cross-functional partners including engineers, BSA/QA, project managers, and business sponsors.
- Hands-on experience with market risk and/or PnL reporting is preferred.
