Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable, secure, high-performance, resilient systems primarily on AWS.
- Enhance infrastructure automation and cloud configuration using auditable, automated IaC provisioning.
- Own and improve IaC libraries, CI/CD pipelines, bootstrapping modules, monitoring tools, security controls, and reliability practices.
- Introduce internal tooling, templates, scripts, and self-service workflows that improve local development and deployment.
- Establish golden paths, playbooks, and standards for secure and productive infrastructure and deployment workflows.
- Mentor engineers on DevOps, security by design, observability, infrastructure automation, and best practices.
- Identify and deliver automation and AI-assisted workflow improvements that reduce manual effort and improve developer productivity.
- Lead infrastructure initiatives, modernization efforts, and the retirement of legacy technologies while supporting the Drupal 7/Angular marketplace.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and leadership on technical strategy, team growth, hiring support in Mexico, and developer enablement.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and improve developer experience through automation and collaboration.
- Experience identifying and implementing improvements to security, reliability, observability, cost efficiency, and infrastructure maintainability.
- Ability to own infrastructure components including IaC libraries, CI/CD pipelines, bootstrapping modules, and monitoring tools.
- Track record of delivering excellent results and providing specific examples of past experience.
