Responsibilities
- Develop and own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning and AI systems in the food and beverage science domain.
- Design datasets, evaluation criteria, and test cases for AI systems.
- Measure and monitor the cost, performance, and accuracy of AI systems.
- Lead independent experimentation design and code design for machine learning systems.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and sales teams with limited explicit instruction.
- Use modern agentic coding paradigms to accelerate software engineering and educate others on these practices.
- Work with AI product teams to improve the customer experience of AI deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML engineering, or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to ship production-grade systems across the product lifecycle.
- Experience building production services, data pipelines, and integrations in Python; additional C# experience is preferred.
- Production-grade experience with knowledge graphs, graph databases, semantic modeling, ontology concepts, or relationship-based data representations.
- Ability to design and interpret evaluation metrics for AI and ML systems, including model quality, retrieval quality, search relevance, classification performance, latency, cost, reliability, and user impact.
- At least 2 years of experience with Azure, with AWS or GCP as alternatives.
