Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate backend services within a domain-driven microservices architecture.
- Build RESTful APIs, event-driven pipelines, data processing services, and AI-enabled application capabilities.
- Write maintainable Java and Spring Boot code across controller, service, and persistence layers.
- Debug and resolve production issues, contribute to incident analysis, and implement stability, reliability, and performance improvements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for reliable service delivery and operation.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing strategies, requirements refinement, technical solution design, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams on SAP Sustainability Data Exchange.
- Develop expertise in SAP technologies and the platform’s multi-tenant supply-chain data model.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in backend development.
- Solid programming skills in Java and Spring Boot with understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
- Experience with AI/LLM workflows, prompt design, and integrating AI services into applications.
- Practical knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-based microservices, with strong coding and debugging skills.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases; MongoDB experience is a plus, and SAP HANA migration experience is relevant.
- Familiarity with observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
- Experience with testing, validation, troubleshooting production systems, and Git version control.
- Experience working in an agile environment using Scrum methodology.
- Beneficial experience includes SAP BTP, CloudFoundry, GCP, AWS, Azure, SAP CAP, CDS models, generated DAOs, code-generation or ORM frameworks, Gradle multi-module builds, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, multi-tenancy patterns, and supply-chain or sustainability domains.
