Responsibilities
- Build and evolve backend microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Pulsar, and MongoDB on Kubernetes in AWS.
- Develop the pipeline that converts published security baselines into compliance reports.
- Break customer problems into executable team work and independently complete most assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers, product management, and leadership on product priorities and company-wide problems.
- Use AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools in daily software development.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and apply engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building enterprise-grade software with solid testing and QA practices.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience.
- Backend microservices experience in a cloud environment; AWS and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Pulsar and document databases such as MongoDB is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants, or genuine eagerness to use them.
- Comfort working in agile teams with modern SDLC practices.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented approach and strong technical communication skills.
- Fluency in Czech or Slovak.
- Must be based in the Czech Republic or have sponsorship to live and work there.
