Responsibilities
- Build Java-focused backend software for urban mobility, road traffic control, and traffic management.
- Design, implement, and operate service architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop new capabilities, maintain existing code, deliver features, and resolve production defects and security vulnerabilities.
- Analyze requirements, shape technical concepts, support integrations, and contribute to customer projects.
- Contribute to lifecycle management, monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Very good Java skills and a degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Very good knowledge of Docker-based containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, message brokers or streaming technologies such as Kafka or Flink, and asynchronous message processing.
- Ability to communicate in English while working daily with international colleagues.
- Preferred experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, GitLab CI, Nexus, Terraform, cloud platforms, hybrid operating models, automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, security practices, XML, JSON, ASN.1, SOAP/REST APIs, MQTT, GIS, map services, or traffic-related data models.
