Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs.
- Develop applications on embedded platforms and integrate them with hardware and network systems.
- Architect and document backend software systems for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Perform network programming and system-level integration across multiple subsystems.
- Collaborate with Frontend Engineering, UX Design, and QA teams on cohesive product development.
- Deliver high-quality work consistently and meet project timelines.
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- At least five years of production experience with Golang.
- At least five years of experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in AI development environments such as Cursor and Claude Code, along with AI development techniques such as Spec-Driven Development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, adaptability, and proactive working skills.
- Highly proficient written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with IoT platforms, connected-device ecosystems, device security, MQTT, CoAP, WebSockets, Matter, Thread, device provisioning, firmware over-the-air updates, device lifecycle management, edge computing, cloud-to-device integration, asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, telemetry, real-time data processing, time-series data stores, Debian or Ubuntu, Linux services, CLI environments, Linux networking, routing, packet analysis, and firewall management.
