Python Automation Engineer/Lead

Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and update automated test frameworks for embedded devices and their software.
- Develop and execute integration, system, end-to-end, hardware, simulator, manual, and automated tests.
- Automate Windows desktop applications using FlaUI and develop tests with Python, PyTest, and Robot Framework.
- Run tests on real instruments, analyze logs, and debug failures across hardware, firmware, and software.
- Track and verify defects while following test processes to ensure product quality.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and Appium.
- Hands-on experience with PyTest, Unittest, or similar automation testing frameworks.
- Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch or extending existing frameworks.
- Experience with embedded or device testing, including hardware-in-the-loop, simulators, serial/TCP/IPC communication, and log analysis.
- Experience with Linux command-line tools, shell scripting, Git, pull-request workflows, and CI tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of test design techniques including boundary-value, equivalence-class, and negative testing.
- Good written and spoken English for collaboration with global teams.
