Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, and maintain secure and scalable software solutions.
- Build APIs, web applications, and microservices using Python, React, and FastAPI.
- Develop React interfaces using component-driven development, state management, and performance optimization.
- Work with relational databases and SQL while considering upstream and downstream system implications.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve engineering outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into well-designed APIs and intuitive user experiences.
- Support integration of AI and GenAI capabilities into applications where applicable.
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Training or certification in Python software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Strong experience with Python and React.
- Strong experience with FastAPI, web development, REST services, and microservice development.
- Experience with modern front-end technologies and React development patterns.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and strong SQL fundamentals.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Preferred: experience designing and implementing cloud-based applications in AWS environments.
- Preferred: exposure to Agentic AI, GenAI, or AI/ML concepts.
