Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and ownership for SAP Platform Engineering, SAP Basis, SAP HANA, and AWS-hosted SAP environments.
- Lead SAP landscape design, implementation, upgrades, enhancement packs, support packs, kernel upgrades, add-on installations, certificate management, system refreshes, and migrations using SUM, DMO, and ZDO.
- Drive SAP HANA administration and engineering, including upgrades, system replication, high availability, disaster recovery, scale-up and scale-out deployments, performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and database optimization.
- Manage and optimize SAP workloads on AWS Cloud and Red Hat Linux, including EC2, EBS, EFS, FSx, Cloud Storage, BACKINT, and Pacemaker clusters.
- Lead L3 production support and service management across incidents, major incidents, problems, changes, releases, service transitions, root-cause analysis, recovery, and SLA compliance.
- Implement reliability engineering, observability, monitoring, telemetry, alerting, dashboards, predictive monitoring, and self-healing capabilities.
- Drive DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and platform standardization using Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, and cloud automation frameworks.
- Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, governance forums, vendor collaboration, and mentoring for geographically distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on SAP Basis and SAP HANA experience supporting large-scale enterprise SAP environments.
- Strong leadership experience across engineering, operations, and DevOps functions.
- Deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA administration, scale-up and scale-out architectures, high availability and disaster recovery, SAP upgrades and migrations, AWS Cloud operations, and Linux administration.
- Experience with RHEL and SUSE Linux environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex SAP cloud transformation programs.
- Proven experience managing production support and critical business platforms.
- Strong knowledge of incident management, major incident management, problem management, change and release management, service transition, and operational readiness.
- Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams and technical specialists.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
