Responsibilities
- Develop clean, maintainable, efficient code for complex software applications and systems.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, design, and delivery for major software projects.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate technical project activities.
- Own quality-platform capabilities including test authoring, execution pipelines, runner infrastructure, and reporting.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and the full software lifecycle from requirements through production operation.
- Build and automate tests using frameworks, tools, and testing-pyramid practices.
- Ensure service health and quality through telemetry, incident analysis, root-cause analysis, and preventative measures.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
- Prioritize technical debt and influence organization-wide technical decisions and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in one or more of C, C++, C#, .NET, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with software architecture, design patterns, and scalable reliable systems in a DevOps model.
- Proven experience leading and delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
- Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, and GitHub.
- Experience building telemetry or observability into software development.
- Hands-on expertise with GitHub Actions or comparable CI systems, self-hosted runner infrastructure, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD, experience developing accessible technologies, expertise in specialized technical disciplines, and familiarity with business and regulatory factors.
