Base Salary

$107k - $161k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Java and Spring Boot components with sound architectural decisions and minimal oversight.
  • Build and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and microservices within service-oriented architectures.
  • Write unit, integration, and performance tests using JUnit and Mockito.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
  • Analyze applications for vulnerabilities, security gaps, and performance bottlenecks, then implement remediation and optimization.
  • Evaluate and adopt development tools, libraries, and engineering practices to improve delivery quality.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and stakeholders to assess requirements, recommend solutions, and support enterprise-system implementation.
  • Contribute to project delivery activities including scoping, planning, and stakeholder coordination.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Deep expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Web, and Spring Data.
  • Advanced knowledge of core Java, threading, collections, exception handling, JDBC, object-oriented design, programming principles, and SOA patterns.
  • Experience building, deploying, and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience designing and delivering microservices and service-oriented architectures using REST-based communication.
  • Practical experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines and Agile software development.
  • Working knowledge of SQL; Oracle familiarity is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud-ready applications and automated deployment pipelines is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development, Extreme Programming, and DevOps workflows is beneficial.
  • Financial services application-development experience and understanding of enterprise compliance and risk considerations are beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
