Responsibilities
- Design and own API integrations across bare-metal provisioning, network fabric, virtualization, cloud, storage, schedulers, and the CMDB.
- Build production-quality Python services using FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Knative to make the CMDB the authoritative infrastructure source of truth.
- Develop end-to-end automation pipelines, event-driven workflows, self-service APIs, CLIs, and internal developer portals that reduce manual infrastructure operations.
- Implement policy-as-code integrations for segmentation and security enforcement through systems such as Illumio and Cilium.
- Lead API engineering triage, initiative scoping, implementation coordination, and vendor API roadmap management.
- Own CMDB schema design, topology modeling, versioning, audit trails, and migration of legacy sources of truth.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, vendor, and business stakeholders and contribute to infrastructure platform strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of software development experience focused on infrastructure automation, systems integration, or platform engineering.
- Daily production-quality Python development, with experience in FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and asynchronous Python highly valued.
- Deep RESTful API design experience, including resource modeling, versioning, pagination, error handling, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
- Experience designing complex, evolving relational schemas, preferably with PostgreSQL, including normalization, indexing, and migrations.
- Working knowledge of at least two infrastructure domains, including bare-metal provisioning, network configuration, storage, virtualization, or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience integrating heterogeneous systems through vendor APIs, abstraction layers, and API lifecycle management.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work with senior leadership and multiple teams.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab workflows.
- Preferred experience with CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow, NetBox, Ralph, or Device42; network automation tools such as Arista EOS, NAPALM, Netmiko, RESTCONF, or NETCONF; and Kubernetes, Knative, Helm, GitOps, Kafka, NATS, Rust, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Preferred experience with financial services, latency-sensitive infrastructure, security automation, Illumio, Cilium, or policy-as-code.

- Minimum base salary of $100,000 for roles located in New York, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
