Base Salary
$112k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software, firmware, and low-level platform features.
- Build device drivers, kernel components, and hardware-software interfaces for connected systems.
- Develop system-level test automation and diagnostic tools using Python and automation pipelines.
- Diagnose platform-level issues, optimize memory and CPU performance, and support production triage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and deliver software across the full development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with 0 years of work experience, bachelor’s degree with 2 years, an associate’s/apprenticeship/boot camp/certification pathway with 3 years, or high school diploma/equivalent with 4 years, in a relevant technical field.
- Strong proficiency in C or C++ systems programming and practical experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or POSIX-compliant environments.
- Understanding of operating systems, multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and low-level hardware-software interfaces.
- Familiarity with Linux software workflows, GDB, Valgrind, and Git.
- Preferred experience with device drivers, kernel modules, BSPs, U-Boot, UEFI, networking protocols, Python or Bash automation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, hardware bring-up, HIL validation, and lab instrumentation.
