Base Salary
$170k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical architecture strategy for Citi’s Digital engineering team.
- Design secure, scalable, and high-performance systems and services while balancing immediate and strategic engineering needs.
- Lead architecture reviews, identify reusable patterns, and drive system enhancements across engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers across seniority levels and serve as a technical coach and advisor.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and external vendors to inform enterprise architecture decisions.
- Build and analyze delivery metrics to guide engineering and operational priorities.
- Represent Citi externally through conference speaking, publications, and industry engagement.
- Proactively identify and manage technical and business risks while upholding compliance and ethical standards.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in an enterprise architecture role with deep expertise in one or more technology domains.
- Experience architecting and delivering secure, performant, and scalable solutions across AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and Akamai.
- Hands-on expertise with Angular and native iOS and Android development.
- Ability to work independently at a senior level and make high-impact architectural decisions.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical discussions with product, program, and engineering stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience evaluating external technology vendors at enterprise scale.
- Preferred: conference speaking, user group leadership, or published technical writing.
