Base Salary
$176k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the foundational architecture for enterprise agentic AI at Benchling.
- Write production code and establish CI/CD infrastructure for agentic systems.
- Design systems with multi-tenant isolation and security measures from day one.
- Coach departmental teams on production patterns and build internal developer experiences.
- Collaborate with data teams on source-of-truth datasets and pipelines.
- Set high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong systems design fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with production systems integrating LLMs and agentic patterns.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go.
- Experience with LLM APIs and frameworks, vector databases, and workflow automation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build platforms or products from scratch.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
